I don't know if we should get a system ..like the stroller and carrier package OR just get a stroller and a convertible car seat that we can just flip over to forward facing when she gets bigger.

I'm worried that the convertibale car seat is too big for a new born but then im also worried that she will out grow it really quickly and im worried that a regular stroller without the baby carried will be inconvenient in the beginning .. I don't know .. im just SO confused.. I need advise! This is our first baby. I have no idea what im doing.

We chose to spend the extra money and get a travel system and I am really glad we did.  We got the chicco cortina set and LOVE it!  The infant carrier is so convenient when you are going places and the baby falls asleep or you are just running in some where really quick or even just going to a restaurant and the baby can safely sit in it while you are there.  Libby just started sitting in a convertible seat and she falls asleep and her head falls a bit forward and then we have to wake her up to take her out.  It sucks.  I wish she could be in the infant carrier forever LOL.

Also, the base that comes with the chicco set is fantastic and easy to use.  Then all you have to do is sit the carrier in place and you are ready to go!

I was considering the Chicco systems!  Until I came across convertibles .. I had no idea those even existed ..lol ...that's bad huh? .

Thanks for the review of the Chicco. I think that's what we're going with.

We bought a travel system too!  I am really glad we did!  Like Malena said it is so easy to just hook the car seat into the base and go!  You don't have to worry about waking them up if they fall asleep, and you always have a place to put them...like in a restaurant...so you don't have to hold them the whole time!  It is so easy to take the stroller also and just clip the car seat into that and go...and you have it when they out grow the car seat also!
I really liked out travel system and also wish he could stay in his infant carrier forever!   We have the Graco snugride and like it a lot!

I agree with the former posters that you should go with the travel system. They really are a lifesaver. Plus, you can use the infant carrier until the baby's head is less than 1 inch from the top of the carrier. We bought the convertible seat for my car when our LO was about 10 months old but we still use the infant carrier in my DH's car. We'll use it up until the last minute that we can because the convertible seats aren't cheap.

Good luck!

This is my 3rd baby and we will be using a travel system again. My gf is giving me hers. Her son barely used it and its like brand new. I love how easy it is to get around. We transfer to a regular refacing infant/toddler carseat when baby gets to long. My son was only 5 lbs 15 oz when he was born so he was in his infant seat for a long time. He only weighed 17 lbs when he was a year old. But my daughter was 9 lbs plus and we had to put her in a bigger seat when she was about 6 months.

Hope you find what you like!!!

My only real advice that I have is that Im a saver.. I like to nice things but i dont need really expensive seats or strollers. I cant justify speding 500 on a stroller. lol when i can find something comparable to that at maybe 150.

Thanks for all the input! I really appreciate it! We're definitely going with the system!
