Wow!!  Thank you ladies for all of your wonderful replies.  You truly are a great group of women...which is why I continue to hang out on this board even though I am not TTC anymore!

I did speak with my PCP on this issue yesterday.  He was of the opinion that a wait and see approach is a good idea.  He also was a little miffed at the surgeon who wants to operate so quickly, as he feels that the decision should be mine...the surgeon is just there to make recommendations and do whatever I decide to do.

I was supposed to have an appointment with surgeon #1 tihs morning, but as I was driving there (he is a little over 50 miles from my home), his office phoned and had to cancel my appointment.  It is rescheduled for September 11th.  I am actually very happy about this, as it gives me a couple of more weeks to see how things go with my weight!

I believe my decision is giong to be the wait and see approach.  I can just hardly fathom the idea of purposefully making myself feel like crap again with an invasive procedure that may or may not be necessary.  Obviously, if I cannot maintain my weight, I will have to do something, but hopefully I won't need anything.

Thanks again for all of your wonderful words of wisdom!!!!  I appreciate you all more than you know!

Hugs to ya'll!

Personally? I would come right out and ask surgeon 1 why the rush? I would wait and talk to someone in the medical community that you trust.
