And, which one did you use?

I know, a lot of questions but I have NO experience with an OPK and i'd like to give it a try. I'm gonna temp too and together they've got to work, right?

TIA,
Cathie   <~ hoping this is her month!

Yes, absolutely use OPKs.  They will tell you when you ar most fertile.  Temping will only tell you ovulated after the fact.  You can buy cheapies over the internet at babycreation.com or babywishes.org.

Ann,

I think it is because of you I decided to use an OPK - when you told me in an earlier post I would only know I O'd after the fact with temping I was like "Oh No!" and started reading about OPK's. So, thanks!

I think it's a really good idea also.  Seriously, I do not understand how women/girls even become pregnant without using an OPK.  It's like a fricken miracle!!!!  It's basically like you get your + and you KNOW when your window of opportunity is to potentionally get preggo. Doesn't mean it will happen right away because it can take time, etc.  I buy the Dollar Store ones from Dollar Tree or sometimes you can fine at Big Lots for a little *****eaper than the dollar store ones.  Good luck Cathie!!!!!!  Julia

I had a hard time with the actual OPK's and got a Clear Blue Easy Fertilty Monitor.  Not cheap, but once it learned my cycle it was pretty dead on.

I bought one of these and I know this sounds stupid, but it seemed kind of over whelming for me.  So when I used regular OPK's and got my +'s and stuff I was like, what do I need a monitor for.  And your right they are expensive.  I never did use mine, it's going up for sale on Craigslist. LOL

I used clearblue digital OPK's for 4 months and got pg in July.  They are pretty pricey i think 29 a box but they are so worth it.  Instead of trying to figure out those stupid lines, this one has a smiley face for Ov time, and a blank face when you're not ovulating, it really takes the guess work out!!

good luck!!

I bought the clear plan easy many years ago and was able to get pregnant with Emily the first month I tried after a big weight loss. Not having much luck this time but it's my body and probably age not the fault of the opk. I never had much luck with temping but many do.
Yes, I say they work well.
