How much protein & water do you get in a day?

Just with food, I'm probably getting in like 50 gms a day (my doc wants 60+), but some days I'm not doing that just due to the nausea I'm feeling.   I'm going to ask my doc at my first checkup on monday if I can do protein shakes on the days that I don't feel like eating.   I was doing protein shakes up until about 3 months ago, when I got sick of them after this long of doing em (since 2 months post op).   What shakes do you all use to supplement for protein if you can't get it from food?  I've been using this EAS shake from target since I had RNY and it's ok.   I can only drink so much milk at a time right now, so I usually use water to make my shakes.

As for water, I've struggled since my RNY to get in enough.   Last summer, I was getting in 64 oz a day, but really I get in like 32-50 oz a day.   My doc says at least 50 oz a day when I am taking large doses of CC, to help avoid kidney stones.   But since I've had this nausea for the past week, gagging water down is so hard!!

So I just wanted to see how much you all are getting in and if I'm normal.

Hit goal weight of 140 at 13 months out from RNY!! 130 pounds GONE!

Hey Christie,

I'm 17 mo.'s out (TTC) and I still have at least one protein shake a day. I like the Atkins Advantage Vanilla RTD and I mix in 1 scoop of cookies n' cream protein powder and buzz it w/ice and YUM it's like cookies n' cream milk shake. Try it ..

Two words: Not enough.  I'm lucky if I drink 50 oz of water some days.  Other days I get in 60+ but I'm sure I need more being pregnant with twins.

Protien...I don't really count.  But I eat tons for breakfast and then TRY and snack on it the rest of the day.  It's so hard when you have little kids with crackers and fruit flowing like crazy.  Ugh.
