34 weeks and hernia question?
Thanks for your time,
Jenni
I had a ventral hernia during PG and developed an umbilical one during the 3rd trimester. Thankfully I did not require surgery during the PG. I will be having mine repaired in November (surgery pushed out by choice) when I am 6 months post-partum. Most are repaired within 3-6 months post-partum.
Your SIL's OB or WL surgeon would be the best sources of information. Usually, WL Surgeons are quite experienced with hernias post-op as they occur somewhat frequently.
Here's a basic link to hernia during PG, but of course you should always take internet research, answers and claims with a grain of salt.

I know the baby is far enough along that she should be ok.
Thanks again and good luck to everyone with little ones baking.
