Mirena users (or anyone who is interested)... positive HPT

Yeah I took another test and it is negative.  It's about time to take the IUD out anyway.  I just hope it's not like a tubal pregnancy or something.  Will update everybody!

Did you have any bad symptoms with the IUD, I have one schedule to be put in at my 6 week pp visit. I am sensitive to the pills so wanted to try this, hell maybe I'll look at Essure, I am not having anymore children. Hope your positive is true if that's what you want!! And good luck trying for #2!!

Well, I did gain weight but anything with a hormone can do that.  I loved it.  Stopped having periods within 3 months.  That is why it is hard to know if I am pregnant or not.

Oh gosh I don't need to gain weight, I'm at 230 as it is, now I am going to have to think of a plan B. I only lost 20 pounds and my daughter will be 3 weeks old next week.

Well anything with a hormone could do it to you.  At least Mirena will bless you with no periods (probably).

We are switching to condoms and dealing with the 1 year old for birth control.  Ha ha.

LOL - my DH would never consent to condoms he says dont mention it...LOL

I have the mirena and the only weight gain is water retention once a month.  I stopped having periods after 3 months and now only get a few PMS symptoms like a 2-3lb weight gain from water retention, sweet/salty food cravings and a little irratibility...but thats it...nothing like I had when I didn't have it.  This is my 2nd IUD and I love them.  I had my 1st placed 4m PP after my 1st child (due to c-section) and then had my 2nd placed 4m PP after my 2nd c/s.  Good luck!
