Mirena users (or anyone who is interested)... positive HPT

I have a positive HPT.  Does anyone know anything that would cause a positive HPT aside from pregnancy?

take another one, and how long have you had the IUD in?

I am wondering if it is an evaporation line.

A friend of mine just had a false positive on a hpt with her IUD.  She had a blood test and a urine test done at the dr's and they both were neg.  She was freaking out since she just had twins about 6 months ago!  I hope your outcome is what you are hoping for:) 

Just took another test and it's negative.  Don't know what to think.  Am having the IUD removed tomorrow anyway.  We're going to try for 2 soon.

GL ttc again.  Just make sure you wait until you're 1st natural period after having the IUD removed so that you have a good natural lining for implantation if you do get prego.  I got pregnant the 1st month after getting it removed.  I had it pulled, waited until my next natural AF to show and then ttc;ed, got prego right away.  My friend got prego before her 1st natural AF  and miscarried due to low lining.  Her next ttc round got prego again & has a little boy now!
