Hi girls. I had my 28w2d growth scan today. Hoping the baby was just in a growth spurt and would be right at size this time, but no such luck. He is still in the 95th % and measuring 30w3d, so just over 2 weeks ahead!! Holy Cow! He weighs 3 1/2 pounds already (+/- 1/2)!!! And I still have 12 weeks to go until due date! Amazing since I have only gained now 6 pounds. The most important thing is that Micah is healthy, ten fingers, ten toes, still a boy...lol And one pretty cool thing, since we declined genetic testing, is that the tech got pictures of open hands, which he said 99% of the time means the baby doesn't have downs, as downs babies have clinched fists all the time...interesting, I didn't know. He is also head down which I know it is still way early and he could flip alot.

Vic came in toward the end and the tech took the time to show him all the neat stuff. Micah was super super active and hubby kept saying, "wow, that kid moves alot" or "ouch that looks like it hurt" lol I told him Micah was way more active than Emma ever was, but it seems like every time he is kicking and punching up a storm and hubby puts his hands there, Micah stops....twirp...lol

Anyway, glad he is looking healthy so far. A bit disappointed in his size as I really wanted the VBAC....but will take healthy baby over VBAC any day. I know there is still time, so I am holding out hope. Besides size I know it will depend on if I progress faster than last time as well.

I have been feeling pretty good since being off work. I had 3 contractions tonight...but taking it easy.

Anyway, thanks for reading my update. Shari

Glad things are going great!  Sorry he's big...lol.  Hope he's not like Kellen!  10.5 lbs hurts whichever way it comes out!
My girls are crazy (8 limbs kicking about will be crazy I guess) but once Holden of John puts their hands on, they freeze.  BUGGERS!

Again, glad things are going well.  I'm having contractions too.  Hope they slow down for you!

Must be the generation. My baby girl does not like her daddy touching either. Thats way funny!! I am happy he is looking good though. Healthy is very important I know. So happy he is baking well!!

Glad things are going well! That is neat about the open hands thing...very interesting! Glad he is healthy (a little too much maybe?) too!

My baby is the opposite..every time hubby puts his hand on my belly he starts kicking like crazy but hubby can't feel them...so frustrating! lol

I am glad that you and the little man are doing well!! He is just a strong little man who is playing hide-and-seek with his daddy!

Keep staying healthy!

Shari -
Don't get all disappointed yet. Drew was running 2 weeks ahead the entire pregnancy from 19 weeks when I found out his gender. He ended up being a week late and I had emergency c-section because he still didn't want to come out.

That and the Friday before he was born (he was born on a Monday) - they told me he was going to weigh 8lbs. 7oz. - he was born 7lbs. 5oz.

But you're right - at least everything is looking perfect for Micah! Congrats on a good appointment.
