38 week appointment... baby is now breeched.

So I had my 37/38 week appointment today.  It wasn't with my usual OB as he was on vacation so I saw one of his colleagues.  When she examined me she was having a hard time finding the baby in my lower abdomen and felt that his head was up near my ribs.  After conducting an internal she still couldnt locate exactly where he was so she asked that I came into the hospital tonight, as she was on-call and she would perform an ultrasound and determine his exact location.

Turns out... the little stinker is hanging up in my ribs.  The way she drew the picture makes him look like a doggy.. his head and but are in my ribs and his limbs are dangling into my lower abdomen.  Since my regular OB is on vacation, she tentatively scheduled me for a C-section for Sept 6.  I have an appt with my regular OB on Sept 3 to firm the date and determine if the baby has switched positions again.  He is quite the active mover.

*sigh*

Oh no. "sigh" is right.
But just some words of encouragement my sister had the same thing happen to her and when she went in for her scheduled C-section the baby had turn and she was able to have her vaginally.

Well thats not good. Good thing they caught it now though. Would not want to later on at the worst time. :)

Just a suggestion- I hear you can do stretches to help encourage movement, you do them daily.  My sister did them and it helped, then at the last minute (in the hospital) baby turned transverse (which resulted ina very nasty length wise c-section- with being put completely under because of not getting numb high enough).  But she had been doing the exercises and they were working- her friends recommended them.  Good luck.
