Drew is 2 weeks old today!
We had a 2 week appointment this morning. Drew is 100% perfectly healthy and quite the oinker. He is drinking anywhere from 2-5oz at a feeding (which the doc said is fine. Some baby boys need more than others.) He now weighs 8lbs. 7oz. (he was 7lbs. 5oz. when born and 7lbs. 2oz. when we left the hospital) and is 21" long (was 20" at birth.) He's growing like a weed already.
We sat down and made an alternate vaccine schedule (which I'm very happy about.) The first visit he will have 2 vaccines - one is an oral not a shot. Then after that he will have 1 shot a month. The doctor said this will take about 9 months instead of the normal 6 months. I love the pediatrican and am SO happy I decided to switch.
That's all there really is to update on. As for me, I'm feeling wonderful, am down almost 20lbs., and never thought I would enjoy mommyhood as much as I do. I am seriously not looking forward to going back to work and I still have 6 weeks left.
