Induction on Wednesday!!

I'm so excited!

I tried the castor oil again tonight and again I started having contractions they are about every 5-8 min lasting about 45 sec. I called my doctor and let him know what was going on (not about the CO...lol) I live an hour from my hospital and I'm GBS+ so I asked him if I do go to L&D and the contractions start to fizzle out like last week if he could just induce me. I told him I would be 39 weeks on Thursday (with my Sept. 3rd date) so he said he would like to wait, but if it doesn't happen on it's own tonight he will induce me Wed Morning when he is on call. I'm so excited!! The end is in site! I guess it could still happen tonight but I'm not betting on it. It's funny I'm just so excited about it for sure happening on Wed I don't care if it happens tonight... OK, maybe I do a little but not as much as usual....lol.

Update (6am)...
The contractions fizzled out around 1am, so still no labor but that's OK because I have a baby date!

Great news that you're that close to finishing up....hopefully things will happen on their own...but if not...at least they'll go ahead w/the induction if it doesn't happen. You must be desparate if you're willing to take castor oil.

Can I ask...what's GBS+?

Keep us posted on what's going on...and I pray it's an easy delivery.

Thanks Shari. I was hoping if the baby is low enough and because I'm already dilated that maybe he could skip the pit and just break my water, I will talk to him about that Wed. With my Son I had him in 3 hours after my water broke and with Zoe, I was induced all night with pit and never got past 3cm as soon as he broke my water I went to a 10 in one hour. I don't need it to go that fast but like you said the pit makes the contractions much harder and painful.

Thanks Holly. I have been desperate to get this baby out, I was never this uncomfortable with my other two and the stress of needing to go back to work ASAP so we don't lose everything, I guess it will make you try just about anything. I'm, so happy to say I will never in my life take Castor Oil again (I'm getting a tubal.) I will keep you guys updated, I plan on taking the laptop with us and I will try and give you a play by play if I can.
