Really confused

Hi eveyrone...

I just wondered if someone might have heard of or had experience with what I'm going through. I tested on Friday and got a positive with a HPT from Dollar General (Healthsense brand). I then tested with another brand I had laying around and got a negative. I've been testing with various other brands. So far, I have gotten 4 positives and 5 negatives. I've used afternoon and FMU. I'm due to start my period today, but not really having the usual signs. Plus, my temps seem to be staying up. Not sure what to think!!!

Get a digital and test with FMU.  That should give you the answer.  Have the negatives been from testing in the afternoon?   Also, I always collected my urine in a cup (hello plastic dixie cup lol).  I wouldn't flush the urine until I was absouletly sure of the result.  That way you can use several tests from the same batch of pee.
Good luck!

Thanks, Amy. I've tested positive in both morning and afternoon...likewise with the negatives. I used a CBE digital on the first day that I got a positive test, but it said not pregnant. However, I've read that some of the tests are not as sensitive as others. I'm going to try to get into the doctor this next week if I don't start. It's making me crazy

Actually many people are opposite and test better with anything but FMU (me included).  But, you said you have seen positive and negatives at both times of day.  My next question would be -- what brands?  Dollar store HPTs have been known to have an occasional false positive.  Additionally, there is a horrible batch of CVS/Walgreens/Target/Walmart Equate BLUE DYES right now.  They are all the same kind of test and have been giving false positives within 2 minutes.

However, if you have been using other kinds -- Answer, FRER, Fact Plus -- and you have been getting lines, you can believe them.  If you have been using the others mentioned above, I would get an Answer or FRER to confirm.

Good luck.

With this one I had a 2 positive blue ink  test and a faint positive FRER, but a negative CBE digital. The next day, I took another CBE digital and it came up pregnant.  I haven't had a normal pregnancy for me. Usually, by now, I'd be too sick to write this. The month before, I had twoof the false positive blue ink tests that Ann was talking about.

If your period doesn't start in a few days, test again.

Well, all of the positives have been on blue dye tests...line shows up right away before the 2 minute mark. They were the ones I got from Dollar General. Two different packages, different lot numbers. I've gotten negative on the Dollar Tree red dye tests and the CBE digital.

Yeah -- bad batches of blue dye out.  They come up within 2 minutes.  I am not saying you aren't pregnant -- just make sure you get a positive on FRER or Answer to confirm.  They have seriously been breaking hearts on FF.

Well there are very few false positives and since you have 4 positives... I'll say an early congrats!

Well, I got a very faint red line on one of the Dollar Tree test this afternoon. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.
