OT: Want to know where we're moving to next?!

I know what you mean.  I'm seriously considering after this tour - after my son graduates - that it's time to come back to the states, buy a house...and never move again.  I'm 41 years old, and I've never lived in one house for more than 3 - 3 1/2 years in my life.

I need to go take some pictures of Jakarta.  I started to take one of the traffic on my way home today when we were stuck in traffic, as far as the eye could see, but I was so sleepy I figured I'd catch it another day.  I need to get some of the rain here too...it's unbelievable.  It can flood in 10-15 minutes, and then the kids go out swimming in it.  Ugh.  Nasty nasty stuff.

Forgot to tell you, my friend is back in K-town as she calls it until October. Then they are off to Ft. Bliss (is that the one in El Paso?). Hubby is taking a month off between posts.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Yep this is K-Town. Thats funny! Most people hate it but I love it here. Ft Bliss is El Paso the longest drive from here with nothing in between. Took us 11 hours to get there last time.

She said it's 12 hours and still too far from home. LOL It's funny, I am 3 states from home and 12 hours away. It boggles my mind that she will still be in the same state.

Oh yes!! Felt that way when we drove to Maryland a month ago too. Texas and Tennessee are the longest states ever!! I hate driving both of them! Its ok though! Its all worth it!

Looks like you may need to invest in some nice warm Uggs! LOL

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

That and some long underwear.  I used to have some boots w/fur inside but I got rid of them when I moved here.  Didn't think I'd need them again in this lifetime...at least not before moving back to the States.  I guess it's a good excuse to go shopping!

Germany would be a great place to get posted to...not even just because it's Germany, but because it's so central, you could go all over the place there.  Who knows...if you go there..I could teach you the 'bad' German phrases I know.  I have a German aunt...and that's the only German she taught me...how to curse!

Holly,

Sounds a little too cold for me. I am glad you are happy with your post! Also, thank goodness you kept that warm fuzzy coat!!

I was a child of an Army Officer so we moved all the time. He retired when I was just about out of high school after he put in 20 years. I lived in Hawaii, Oklahoma, Greece, Korea, Germany, Turkey, and West Virgina.

My life seemed normal to me. So whenever people wonders what it is like to move all the time, I always say well I wondered what it would be like to live in the same town all my life. My husband and all his family have lived in the same town all their life. It is so strange to me :) Also, I think if I lived in the same town with all his family, they would drive me batty!
