Hard to gag down water right now....

I am noticing that I'm having a really hard time getting my water in the past few days.   Like today, I've only gotten in like 20 oz of water (when I normally get like 40-50 oz).  I have been feeling slightly nauseated now and the taste of plain water just gags me most the time.   I don't want to do those mix in's or very many things with artificial sweetners, but I might have to!!  I love vitamin water, but it has that Stevia sweetner and I don't know if that's ok to have while pg.   And the sf hawaiian punch and crystal light have asparatame in it....

I hope this goes away by 12 weeks, I hate feeling this way.   I have even lost a pound within the last few days.   I don't feel like making myself anything to eat, let alone the rest of the family (poor kids and hubby!!).  With my first pg, it lasted mostly the first trimester, but I had food aversions the whole pg and felt yucky.   With my 2nd, I felt sick the first trimester and threw up for a month (just once per week thankfully) and then felt pretty ok for the rest of the time.   And I think the progesterone supplements that I'm on aren't helping either with the sick feeling again.

Ughhhhhhh...... someone shoot me

Stevia is perfectly ok...if you like the taste.  LOL.  It's all natural so there's nothing artificial about it and it doesn't take much of it at all to sweeten something.  I have to use artificial sweetner otherwise my blood sugars would be thru the roof.  Even though Splenda is still aritificial, I try to find things with that in it.
I've had a hard time with water too but I found one that I like and almost tastes sweet to me...the Sam's Choice from Walmart!  I can guzzle that stuff!  I also found that I do NOT like the taste of  "spring water" - it has to be "purified drinking water with added minerals".  My husband pointed that out to me!  Spring water isn't nearly as 'crisp' I think.

Anyhoo, artificial sweetner is ok in moderation, I think...however there are people out there that completely disagree with me.  Being that I don't have a real choice unless I want to be a SEVERE diabetic, it's what I gotta do.

Good luck!

I added a bottle of ice tea with a splenda in it and that helps me get more in. I do whatever I can to find different things to get in cause it sure can be hard to do!! :)

Stevia is 100% natural and has been used in other countries for YEARS!. If you still want to use that (I know I will) you can make your own Kool-aid. Take one pack of Kool-Aid and use 6 packs of the Stevia. You can adjust for sweetness if you want.

Good luck! I had the same problem. I can tolerate sugar so I promised myself if I drank a liter of water a day I could have all the pink lemonade, ginger ale, and orange pop (I craved that stuff) I could drink.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
