2 post op pregnancies..
Hi everyone! I just was dropping by this board because I know when I was pregnant with my first I had a LOT of questions.
I had my RNY wls on 8-2-02, and a tummy tuck on 12-17-03 when I had exceeded my goal weight.
Got pregnant with my son in 06 after years of being told I'd never conceive due to PCOS (AND i was on the pill, imagine that ;) ) Had him on 9-5-07. Gained 60lbs..The only major problems during that pregnancy was anemia and b12 deficiency, but nothing horrible. I had MASSIVE pain from my muscles stretching in my tummy tuck area, though. However I didn't start showing my pregnancy until about 7/8 months due to the tummy tuck, and had no baby pooch after delivery.
Just gave birth to my second child, a girl, on July 31st. Much easier pregnancy and it went by much quicker considering I was chasing around a almost 2 year old. Gained a lot less weight with her (20lbs even) and my tummy didn't hurt as much during the stretching. My anemia and b12 deficiency were much worse this time around, and I had to have a blood transfusion about 4 weeks before delivery.
All in all, WLS CHANGED my life.. I don't believe I would have stood a chance at getting pregnant previously. :) I wish EVERYONE the best of luck in their pregnancies and so on.
