I have anxiety and panic attacks too. When I was pregnant my doctor told me to go off of all medication. She said that there is no anxiety medication that is proven safe during pregnancy, although in some the benefits outweigh the risks. I chose to suffer unmedicated and it was rough at times. I have taken zoloft in the past and I know people who have taken it during pregnancy and their babies were completely healthy. Your doctor will be able to advise you as to what is best for you. Best of luck!

I am on wellbutrin and my OB and PCP both said that it was the safest one to take during pregnancy. They left it up to me if I wanted to continue taking it or stop. Of course I never got to the point of having to make the decision but in order to function at work etc I would probably have to keep taking it.

My doctor has to put my on it a month before the baby's due, to help me with the horrible PPD I get after I have the baby. I've had PPD after both my boy and my girl and especially this last time, my doc told me he'll put me on it before I have my baby, to help my hormone levels to not drop so low to cause this PPD so bad. I was on zoloft after I had my daughter and it took a week to kick in, but I felt so much better after I was on it! Only had to use it for 3 months too and then my doc weaned me off of it.
Here's an article about it I found, but read what the women wrote about the article afterwards, it'll help you feel better to be on something and you are totally normal and ok to be on something to help you!
