Need Opinions Ladies *please*

Hi Ladies!

So Thursday afternoon is our big ultrasound. We are so undecided on whether to find out or not. Hubby wants to find out in one way and in another way really wants the excitement of the delivery room/waiting room shout out...I feel exactly the same way, I want to plan and I am terrible at keeping surprises like this so not knowing would have to be the way to go as not to tell anyone...

So should we find out or not?

What is your experience? Why did you or didn't you find out?

Thanks so much and I am sorry If I have asked this before lol

~Flora

I HAVE to know for us. To decorate the room and just to know. I know alot of people that waited and loved that. Good Luck

Sorry I'm a planner and HAD to know to be ready with pink or blue stuff... lol. I couldn't imagine getting everything in green or yellow and doing all the shopping after the baby came. I just wanted to be ready ahead of time!  :)

My first one was a suprise and the second one we knew. I liked knowing better. I could buy what I needed and call him by name and I was just as excited at the ultrasound finding out as when I pushed out my oldest son. I find that either time is just as exciting for us. Its a suprise wether ultrasound tells you or the doctor does but at least you can prepare and nowadays its better to start getting stuff as soon as possible.

We found out because of the need to plan and like I said I felt excited both ways but when we found out with our youngest son it made our life much easier to start getting ready for him.

Either way you have to do what feels right for you guys!! let us know either way though!!!

Good luck!!

The best option for me was to find out. I fee that finding out allowed me to bond with her, and get her room ready in a way that I wouldn't have been able to just by going gender neutral. Just do what you feel is right for you! :)

It is going to be a surprise no matter what when the baby gets here.  You will be surprised to see how much hair the baby has, whose cheeks it has, how big the feet are, who it looks like most, etc....  The gender is just one of many.  I say find out so you can plan and buy blue or pink stuff galore!  Plus, perfect time to get clearance items since the change of seasons is coming soon.

Thanks ladies...I am leaning towards finding out...I just am scared the excitement will wane once we find out...but then again it will be more exciting because we can connect with the little one and call them by their name and so on...

This is too hard!! lol

I didn't find out with my first and I did with this one.
I can say that
1) I don't know how I  didn't find out with the first!
2)  I was just excited ,as was my family when we found out with the second.  Everyone was on pins and needles waiting for my US to be over.   It was like I was in labor!
3) I'm just as excited to see this baby girl as I would be if I didn't know the sex
4) We aren't telling our family and friends her name.   They are all dying to know but we will make that announcement when she arrives. :)

I HAD to know!  I have a daughter and the thought of having a son to round out the family is just thrilling (because this is the LAST one, lol).

It does help to know when planning and purchasing, but whether you wait or find out it will still be just as exciting!
