Im 2 years out and 6 weeks pregnant with twins.  With WLS, how much should I expect to gain and was it hard to loose it afterwards?  How long did it take to loose it?  Please help, Im very stressed with this.

I was only 16 months out from surgery when I got pregnant with my twins.  I gained 40 pounds total with them and carried them to 37 weeks.  I have lost all of it except the last 10 pounds.  It didn't take very long to loose the weight trying to keep up with 2 babies!!
Congrats!! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

I didn't have twins, but I was 2 years out when I got pregnant.  I gained almost 20 pounds and lost very quickly.   By the time Hannah was 2 weeks old I weighed less than what I did before I got pregnant.
Have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Congratulations on your pregnancy x2!  I didn't have twins and was very early out, but I lost all my weight, and then some within a month of Everett's birth.  Just remember, the "tool" will still be there after you have the baby and just like any other diet we've done in the past, getting back to basics with healthy eating and exercise will help shed any pounds that stay on after the baby is born.

I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant with twins and according to my OB, my weight is great - if not on the low/normal end.  We are supposed to gain a pound per week and I've been close.  I've gained 19 lbs so far.  Ok, it might be 20 by now but I hadn't gained a pound in like 2.5 weeks.

When I had my last son -post-op - he was the size of twins at 10.5 lbs.  I gained 50 lbs with him and lost 42 within 2 weeks.  And I got pregnant 4 months post-op!

If you are careful, you won't over-gain.  Don't diet by all means, bu****ch what you eat and keep up on your liquids and other things.

CONGRATS and GOOD LUCK!!

Question I notice a lot of post-op patients are having twins is that something associate with the surgery or just a coincidence?

I am 16 mths post-op and 9 1/2 weeks pregnant with twins.  I never thought getting pregnant was possible, much less with 2.  My doctor did tell me that the WLS greatly improved my chances.  It could have also improved my chances of 2.
