Soooo tired

Hey ladies,

I'm 8 wks 4 days today and I'm so tired. I've had a couple of boughts with nausea...mostly if I eat greasy foods or dairy, but mostly, this exhaustion is driving me crazy. I gave up caffeine(YAY). I think that may have something to do with it. My labs are phenomenal. Other than that, I'm still having a hard time attaching to this pregnancy. I want to, but I'm so scared. We have our next u/s on the 25th. We did tell Alex because he was starting to get worried that I was really sick. We swore him to secrecy and he says he's trying to be "zen" about the whole thing, but doesn't see how he could possibly love another sibling as much as he loves Niko....hehe---he doesn't realize yet that the heart is stretchable.
Dave is absolutely positive that this our girl because the pregnancy is so different from my others. It would be awesome, but I really just want a healthy baby.

Soooo- when does the exhaustion go away?

HUgs,
Angie

Angie,

I don't post much, but I do read daily.  I thought I would jump in here because I was the same exact way just a month or so ago.  This is my 4th baby, and I am 17 wks 2 days.  I have 3 boys and would love a girl, but like you, just want a healthy baby.  This  was my first pregnancy that I had the exhuastion.  I literally felt like I couldn't do anything.  I had no energy at all.  When I hit 12 weeks, my energy started to return lilttle by little.  And though I am not at the level that I was prior to being pregnant, I feel much better.  I still feel like I could go to sleep by 7pm, but my kids don't allow for that, as I'm sure you can relate.  I hope that your exhaustion will go away when you hit 12 weeks like mine did.  Everyone kept telling me it's the 1st trimester and then it gets better, but since I hadn't experienced it before I wasn't sure.  Maybe this means it will be a girl!!!  (I find out next Tuesday!!!)  Well, sorry I rambled.  I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you Tami. Yeah, the kids keep getting in the way of my desired 24 hrs of sleep per day..hehe. 12 weeks is 3 1/2 weeks away.... I can live with that.

Thanks so much.

I'm glad you're not having the same nausea issues like you did in the past.  That had to really suck!  For me the exhaustion went away about 12 weeks or so.  Really it was 100% gone by the time I hit the 2nd trimester.  I've been very tired with all 3 of my pregnancies up to the 2nd trimester.  It does seem worse with each child I've had.

Dave could be very right about this one being ya'lls *GIRL*!  I know this pregnancy has been 100% in the oppisite compared to my other 2.  I swore it had to be a *BOY* but I didn't want to get my hopes up.  Sure enough, I was right.  ALL BOY!  I'm excited about getting to experience a boy.  It will be a new learning experience I'm sure!

Take care sweets!

Ash :)

Thanks Ash! Yeah--hyperemsis sucks and it's very hard on the family. It would be awesome to finally have a girl. There's only four girls in my family of twelve siblings , five girl grandkids out of seventeen and one of those is adopted....

Either way, Niko will at least have a playmate.

Hey Angie...

I am so glad you aren't as sick as you normally are with pregnancy! My energy was in the potty too until about 16-17 weeks but I still have some energy slumps here and there...but it is getting better every day. I use to eat my lunch at my desk and then go sleep in the car for my lunch hour lol if I did that now I feel like a zombie so my energy has definetly come back!

You can have all the pink baby dust you want...I want the blue dust ok? send some my way!!

I am thinking your exhaustion will disappear at 12 years..LOL probably not even then!  I know my adopted 2 13 & almost 19 wear me down in a difference sense...then add the 13 month old,,,and then the new baby to be...Yiikes- I fear I will never feel "normal" again.  But I noticed this time it took longer for that pregnancy exhaustion to fade..I would say I was in bed at 8pm until I was almost 20 weeks...but this could be my iron level too.  First pregnancy aroun 14 weeks I felt like a new person again.  Good luck- crossing my fingers for your healthy pregnancy, and hopefully a lil girl too.
