Target "Up and Up" Diapers

Has anyone used these?  They are the diapers with the polka dots on them.  My cousin gave me gobs of them this weekend because she is using cloth and had them.  They feel like plastic and I worry about diaper rashes and comfort.  We used the Walmart or White Cloud ones on Kellen for one day and he got a raging rash on his bum.  These feel about the same as those so I was just curious.

Thanks!

Before they were Up and Up (but still Target's brand), I tried them with my son.  HORRIBLE.  He leaked out of them, pulled at them, and the plastic was hot.

Hi Sandy,

Actually, we have used the Target brand diapers (now Up & Up) pretty much since Charlotte was a couple months old.  I've loved them and make a special trip to Target just to buy the diapers.  They don't feel like plastic to me... just as cloth-like as any other brand I've tried.  We started out with Walmart brand, but they seemed so stiff to me.  The only problems I've really had with these diapers leaking is at night, and we now use Huggies overnites.

Lately, though, when I've been going to Target, they have been out of size 5!  I got fed up last time and bought Luvs.  They were actually a penny cheaper per diaper so we'll see how those work.

Good luck!
Tanja

Alot of it is just kid dependent.  6 years ago I was all into Luvs, then with my 2nd son they were constantly oversoaked felt too gooey so he used Huggies, but this third time around it's Walmart's parent's choice.  I'm pretty sure with the store brands, they have a "satisfaction guarantee" and you can return an opened box just because you didn't like them and get your money back.  I had to do that with BJ's brand at some point.

I am not alone, neither are you.

I just tried them and will be going back to Pampers for the next box.  They don't seem to hold as much, and come loose easier than what we were using.

But then again, I'm a diaper snob, so take it for what it's worth.

I bought the small package to try them out and loved them.  So I went and bought the huge box. Those didn't seem to work as well and leaked often.  I didn't know I could return them, so we used them while we are at home during the day...but if we have an outing or for night time, we use either Pampers or Huggies. No rash though.

I been using them a few weeks now, and I will be going back to Huggies after I finish these up, I feel they come off easy and have noticed a slight rash on Nylah's thighs from the rubbing.

I have used them with DD...she did great in them, no problems, no leaks, no rashes (she is sensative too)...but I can say compaired to some of the more expensive ones, they dont feel as nice, but they seemed to work okay.  But I am also a diaper freak- I want DD changed often.  So perhaps that is another part of why it was okay.  The only brand I have found that I absolutely do not like is LUVS- I think they feel like, and made DD sweat like they were plastic liners.  We use SAMS club brand most- and buy others when coupons allow for deals. (We have 3 kids, and 1 income..soon to be 4 kids and no income)
