Just found out i'm pregnant.
few questions. okay so i'm 1 year 1month out from surgery and i have a few questions for yall.
1. how do you deal with cravings.
2. if you still have a B kind of belly with two fat bulges, do you show that you are pregnant or do you still kind of just look fat? i was in the 300's for all three of my previous pregnancies whereing 3-4x's. and this pregnancy i'm starting at a 16 in misses... wondering if people will actually think i'm pregnant as no one evver knew unless i told them with the others. I'm not telling everyday people i'm friendly with. gonna wait to see if they ask, cause then i will know if i'm really showing or not. but i'm just wondering and would love to hear from anyone who's been through this.
3. if you've had previous pregnancies does this one differ in any way that you would contribute to post surgery???
thanks in advance and congrats to everyone.

I got pregnant 11 months post-op and have a B. I am now 18 weeks and just look fatter. :( Sorry no cute baby belly but then again everyone is different. i was 386 at my highest. I am now (or was) in 16's too....I am surviving in my size 22 jeans now but will need to move to maternity soon (no money). I can honestly say I don't deal with cravings. I am horrible and have seen my weight starting to reflect it. In the first trimester I barely gained 5 lbs, which the doc said was good. In the last 3 days I have gained 6 lbs but I think some of this is water, but I do need to star****ching it. I have not had previous pregnancies so I can't answer the last, but I can thank the surgery for my little miracle now! :)
thank you for your candid response. i think that it's normal to kind of just look fatter at 18months for most with a B belly. i'm expecting that. but i'm thinking more towards the end. i mean i was delivering my daughter in two days when my friend bowed down to my belly rubbed it and said i can't wait to meet your princess! and a lady she knew sitting next to her said ohhh your pregnant. you would never know you look great. ( I Was huge lol) I did not look great. but i do know that pants you pull up over your belly round off the B better and make your look more pregnant. (just a tip ) to kind of look forward to when you can afford clothes. also try looking up your local free cycle. *yahoo groups.* people get rid of things they can no longer use for free. i see maternity clothes on there all the time.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope you're feeling well so far!
1. Try to ride it out, fill up on water or crunchy carrots - anything that satisfies the urge to eat without giving in to the craving. BUT IMHO, a little indulgence isn't the worst thing in the world either. I was not always a healthy eater and when I wanted Coco Puffs for lunch, well, I let myself enjoy a bowl every now and then.
2. I didn't actually look pregnant until the third trimester. The lower inner tube and the upper inner-tube finally melded into one big round bump. I was never a cute basketball baby bump kinda gal, but that's just my genetics.
3. My first pregnancy (pre-op) was really rough. I was obese to begin with and gained close to 60 pounds by the end. I had PUPPS and Pre-Eclampsia by the end. Recovery was tough. Second PG (pre-op) was easier as I had lost quite a bit of weight, but recovery still wasn't the greatest. This past pregnancy had challenges, but mainly because I was so early out when I conceived. But the recovery has been amazing - quick, relatively pain-free and a true miracle compared to my other two.
I wish you a healthy 9 months and hope that you'll keep posting.
Hugs,

Congrats!!
1. I give in to my cravings. But I do it with a healthy twist! :-) I am craving pizza almost constantly so I get a super thin-crust hawaiian pizza wherever we go. Thank you Papa Murphy's!!
2. I have an upside down B belly where I have the little pooch on the bottom. My highest weight was 230 at 5ft 3in but ALL belly/upper body. Like an orange on a toothpick with my skinny legs... I will agree with you and refuse to wear pants that cut you in the middle. THEN I'd have the B belly! I wear the ones that practically reach my boobs or fit UNDER my belly. And thank you Bella Band!
3. I couldn't keep a pregnancy or hardly ever get pregnant pre-op. Had PCOS BAD! I suprisingly and unexpectedly got pregnant 4 months post op and had a great pregnancy except for stuff out of anyone's control. Nothing food or WLS related occurred. I had a small bleed/tear in the placenta 1st trimester, cyst on baby's brain 2nd trimester (resolved in 2 weeks), preterm labor 3rd trimester but it resolved also and I was induced at 39 weeks with a 10.5 lb moose. :-)
So congrats!! Hope that helps!
