First of all, I have to admit that I am a silent reader of this board.  I would occasionally comment on someone's reply, but very seldom.  I have enjoyed reading about others and their journey.  I never thought that  I would be postIng on here so soon about myself.  I have been thinking since I did the home pregnancy test, that I would post, but haven't.  I had my surgery a little over a year ago.  I also got married a year ago.  I couldn't wait to get pregnant.  I actually thought it would take me longer to get prenant than it did.  We only started in April.  I know I am pregnant for the first time  because I took 2 home pregnancy tests.  It sinks in at certain times, then I can't believe it.  I went yesterday to have the blood pregnancy test done.  I have a feeling that I have a long weekend ahead of me since I won't get the results until Monday.  I figured I would have the morning sickness and everything would be the worst case scenario.  So far so good.  No sickness, more than the usual from the Lap-Band.  I have had the lower back pain and I have already started having to use the bathroom constantly.  I have also been really gassy.  It seems like if I take a breath I burp.  I am constantly belching.  I am so excited about this baby, yet so nervous.  I told a friend that it seems like I am constantly sending up a prayer for a healthy baby.  I won't see the dr until Sept 9.  It just seems so far away.  I fear I am doing something wrong and I will hurt my baby or his/her development.  I just can't wait to see the doctor and know everything is okay.  Thanks for listening and I can't wait to go on this journey with you.  So many of you have already taught me so much.

CONGRATULATIONS.....I am very excited for you.....and thanks for coming out of lukerdome...we need more people to do that :)

Throughout my whole pregnancy I had to keep pinching myself because it was so hard to believe I was FINALLY pregnant....the best part was when I felt Nathan kicking around inside of me....it was so much fun....

Keep coming around here and posting away...I learned and still do learn TONS of information from these wonderful women....

Congrats again!!! How far along do you think you are?

According to all the dates, I will be 5 weeks on Monday.  I will find out more from the blood work and the ultrasound.  So on Monday, I will have a closer estimation and then in September even better.  Every morning when I wake up, I keep expecting to find blood.  It just makes me more excited of course when it isn't there.  I think seeing the ultrasound will make it more real and I will feel better once I get past the first trimester.

Yup: Gassy, belching, peeing constantly, worrying about everything you do and don't do - you're definitely PREGNANT!

Those first few weeks - actually the first trimester - can be very worrisome for most.  Just know that you're doing everything you can to ensure a healthy pregnancy and the rest is out of your hands.  Enjoy each day to the fullest and keep reminding yourself "today I am pregnant".  Easier said than done, I know, but try not to worry too much LOL

Congratulations and I look forward to sharing in your journey!

Hugs,

Jo
