Cooper gets a shot tomorrow!!
Cooper goes in tomorrow for his 2 month check-up! His doc is on board with an alternative vaccination schedule. That means tomorrow all he'll get is:
DTaP and Rotavirus
My question -- Should I give him Tylenol beforehand??? (He's got fat thighs, but I don't want him hurt!!)
I don't want to see my happy little guy cry !
Thanks in advance !

Just to let you know...Matthew has always cried regardless if Tynenol was given beforehand or afterwards. So be prepared. Last time he screamed like he was being killed for a good 5 minutes before he would calm down. Face blood red and tears pouring down his face. It broke my heart.
I would give about 20-30minutes beforehand.
I would give about 20-30minutes beforehand.
I usually give Niko motrin and hour before.Tylenol will work too. Expect him to scream for a very short bit and then sleep a lot after. Alex used to get really mad and start swinging when he got his shots(kinda funny). When Niko got his, he looked at us like "Why'd you let her do that? Then, he cried." It about broke my heart. Mr. Cooper will be fine. Give him snuggles for us.

Cindy,
WOWSA, Cooper is two months already. I cannot believe how fast time goes by, its really amazing especially watching them grow into their own person. I already find I am less anxious with the second, the first one I was tense and didn't know what to expect, this is much calmer. Hope all goes well at the ped, and I give Ny Tylenol 1/2 before her appointment for shots. Believe me its much easier at 2 months than 12, they kind of know whats going on and scream at the top of their lungs.
Good Luck Vanessa

Cindy,
I always give Hannah tylenol after the nurse calls us back into the room. It's always at least 30 minutes from that point before the shots are given. I never give it before we get there, because I never know how long we will end up waiting and I don't want the meds. to be partly wore off.
Hannah saw the picture of Cooper and climbed up in my lap and started signing baby (which is the motion like you are cradling a baby in your arms). He is so cute!
I hope you both do well with the shots! Make sure you take his shot record with you if you have one already.
