Good News...I think...well maybe
Thanks Shannyn (I like how you spell your name by the way)
I appreciate all the fine comments from everyone. Still, no volunteers to do the injection part for me, come on, don't tell me my good buddies are all fair weather friends. What's a few needles among friends? You guys seem to not even mind them.
They took 9 tubes of blood today. I think I should take the rest of the day off to recuperate and generate more, you think I have any left in me?

Thank you!! I had to spell my kids names different cause mine is!! My hubby does my daily injections for me. I have tried and I know if he were gone like he usually is with the military then I would do it but he is for now. My 15 year old son did one for me this week also so he would know how if he ever needed to. Plus if his future wife were to ever need one I would want him to do it for her also. :)

Hi Chavon,
Just wondering how that first injection went? It's so overwhelming in the beginning, but a month from now I bet you'll be an expert and at 100% confidence level. Of course, I'm also betting you'll have great success with IVF and this painful pin cushion part will be a fleeting memory. My DH tried an ice cube on the injection site before the shots, then he took to pinching or slapping the area quickly right beforehand. It sounds terrible - or like some sadistic S&M thing, but it actually helped alleviate the pain and refocused my attention LOL
Keep us posted and sending you lots of PG dust!
Hugs,

Thanks Jo,
I appreciate your concern. It was scary at first. I told him I wanted out last night while he was mixing the meds and stuff. He just listened to me whine and kept mixing. Then he said "The thing I love most about you is that you are willing to do whatever it takes to make this a success. I could never have made it through that last procedure you went through at the doctors office so if you really have reached your limit, I understand, but I think I know you better than that!" What a DH he is!!!
Anyway, the needle itself wasn't horrible but the meds did burn once they were released. That lasted a few minutes and then I was fine. I hope that you're right and after this go round I won't be looking at the clock dreading 6:30pm like doomsday. Thanks again for your support! I'll keep those icey tricks in mind, although I think my husband might turn that into a whole different experience, "my meds, oh, was that what we were supposed to be doing".
