Some pics and update (super long...lol)
Thanks Sara!! I know you are there. I tend to internalize a lot of stuff, but I need to use my friends more to vent and not let it build up. You did see the pics of emma in my profile, right?? Wow the thought of having pictures of the two of them together is even overwhelming. Egads. Hope you are doing okay! Shari
Awe! She's adorable!
It's okay to have a breakdown..... it's awesome you have a supportive husband and Emma has a grandma who can watch her when you need "alone" time.
As for weight.... after your babies you can always seek a surgeon who can do a "revision". Maybe your weight-loss-surgery wasn't as agressive as it needed to be? May a different type of surgery would have been better for your eating habits?
For now concentrate on having a healthy baby boy and enjoying him and Emma !

Cindy

I have thought of that, but my insurance hasn't approved anyone that I know of for it. I had the proximal surgery which bypasses a little less intestines. I knew I wanted to have babies and didn't want the malabsorbtion of vitamin issues. And it was the only one my insurance offered. I am hoping that by being diligent with this pg I won't gain much weight and will be lighter after having him...fingers crossed...then maybe with breastfeeding a little more weight loss. I would love to at least get down to my lowest post op weight again and then seek the tummy tuck. Thanks for the words of encouragement though!! Shari
Sheri,
Hang in there!!! I wanted to let you know that I had a panni done and I wasn't even close to my goal weight. I was 5 years out and was sick of the back pain from the extra skin. I was so GLAD that it was removed. 10 pounds removed and gone forever!!! Best thing that I could have done.
Check into it and see what you can do. I didn't have any problems getting it approved either.

That is cool to know. I have asked my pcp before I got pg this time and she said that she has only got one out of 7 requests approved and the lady had skin to her knees and it made her trip when she walked. Of course I am not that bad, but I have rashes and infections all the time, and it really puts a damper on the love life. I have teased with my ob that if I have a csection they should just do it at the same time...lol I will definately try for the approval after this baby...planning to have my tubes tied. Can't hurt to ask. I have known people on my insurance that have been approved here on this website, but usually in different regions. My region is super strict...but I will fight. Don't want to spend that kind of cash right now for sure. It is good to know others have gotten the tt without being at goal though. Thanks! Shari
Oh sweetie, you certainly have a lot on your plate and we all have those days, or weeks where life just gets the best of us. You are beautiful. You have been on a long, tough journey to get where you are today. Try to cut yourself some slack and know that you're not alone.
And BTW, I don't think there's such a thing as "keeping emotions in check" during pregnancy
Hugs,

In terms of the weight loss I haven't gotten below 240 so I am very sympathetic. I expected more :( Its not that I'm not happy with what I did (lost 200lbs) but I had such hopes of being skinny for once in my life. Not happening.
Good luck with everything!!!
