Asking for a friend of mine...
Karine
I have never experienced implantation bleeding so can't give firm answers...but I think reading from others here that it happens a week to two weeks after implantation? Some women may have had a little cramping...but not sure about that one.
Have your friend google the question...I'm sure there's more reliable information than me out there...and hopefully others will pop in here w/a response from their personal experiences.

I had it with 4 of my pregnancy. The fourth one I lost but it was not do the bleeding. This pregnancy I had cramps. I believe I read it usually happen around the time you should get your period.
I hope she is okay. If anything she should call her doctor and they can do Ultrasound for her. Also another great website to ask questions on is mamasource.com.

Implantation bleeding generally happens between 3-10 days after you ovulate. It is generally spotting though and not too heavy as in bleeding. Most would describe the cramps as 'af is coming' type feelings. If she is bleeding earlier than normal af and cramps are worse than af type cramps and stay that bad for several days she should take a pg test and then go to the doctor to check for viability of pg. Implantation spotting usually lasts only a day or so. In rare cases it could be a tubal pg causing the bleeding and cramps. I hope all turns out well for your friend and she gets the result she is looking for. Shari
