Sock Bandit

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, my beautiful, lovely, handsome munchkin has a new nickname at daycare...."sock bandit"....Nathan is obsessed with everyone being sockless/shoeless/sandaless, etc. He not only takes his own socks and shoes and sandals off, but he is taking EVERYONE's feet garments off...he rolls and army crawls to specifically take socks and shoes off....and then promptly chews on them....I cannot wait until the other parents start billing me for new socks or shoes....

Even on our vacation in MT he took off two of his cousins socks...it was hilarious...and even tried feverishly for a good 10 minutes trying to get my mom's socks off....it was so funny....

For those of you that jus****ched Bachelorette....I am so fearful that Nathan will be "the foot guy" and he grows up with a foot fetish...LOL....

So, I saw these fancy dancy "Socks On" item on ebay....wondered if you have ever heard of it, used it, think it will help, etc....it is still in the high 90s here so I am taking him to daycare with nothing on his feet (well, I tried yesterday and it took him about 20 seconds to get them off)...but I need something for the winter....he will be mighty cold if we don't get some foot resolution soon.....

Hey Ann! I have no feedback on the sock bandit but that has got to be the cutest thing ever!! I immediately thought of the weirdo on the bachelorette. LOL  Sounds like your Lil Man is going to have a foot fetish...  :)  Lets just hope he's not as bad as the guy on the bachelorette.

That is too cute. The cool thing is, he is developing great hand and eye coordination. You should get him a boy cabbage patch doll and let him entertain himself by pulling its socks and shoes off.

 OMG those are the coolest things!!  I think I might have to get some of those for winter, as well.  Let me know if you do get them and if you like them!

Must be a boy and foot thing....Emad now goes around smelling his feet, and those of others, and making a face and going ickh....it is cute but sort of embarassing too! LOL

Very cute story!  My first thought was about a foot fetish too.

When I was dating online I had one guy who wanted to talk about nothing but my feet/shoes/toenails, etc.  It was very disturbing.  Needless to say I stopped corresponding with him!

Hopefully this is just a phase and he'll move on to bigger and better (and higher up) areas of interest!

Well, I suppose it's never too early to have a sock/foot fetti****hink of how you can use this "sock bandit" story later on in Nathan's life....you can share it with his prom date, etc.

In our home, our cat is the sock bandit...dirty, clean--doesn't matter! She steals the socks and trails them all around the house making those gutteral ME-OW groans as if it was fresh kill she was bringing to us. Apparently she's a "mouser" cat and we don't have mice, so the socks are her substitite. We had to get special cat-proof hampers so Petunia couldn't get her fix. When I fold laundry and match socks, she's always watching! When we get new shoes, she thoroughly inspects them, cramming her head as far down into the toes of the shoe as she can.
