After my post I ran out to Walmart to see if I could find a card or something.  I went to the baby clothes aisle (EEKK!!!!)  and found a bib that said "I love daddy."  It was 2 dollars so I bought it.  My hubby works an hour and 15 minutes away.  And the whole car ride home we usually text (I know, I know it's bad.)  He kept saying "did you test today"  or  "do you feel pregnant?"  I just kept giving evasive answers lol.  When he comes home I always have dinner on the table.  So I put the bib on the plate.  He came in, put down his work stuff down and wanted to go to the bathroom first to wash up.  I kept saying "no, come sit down, lets eat!"  He got up to the bib and goes  "Are you pregnant?!  I knew it!!!"  Then he hugged me!  It was too cute!  Now he's talking about it non stop.  We're trying to figure out how to tell our parents, we need to tell them before anyone else.  My b-day is next Tuesday, so on Friday his parents are taking us out to dinner, so we're gonna tell them then.  I want to tell my mom before that though because I think she would be upset if I didn't tell her first, but I don't want to tell her over the phone.  I don't know, I'll think of something!

Anyway I know a ton of people are TTC and it took us 4 months, but here are some things we did differently this cycle.

We BD'ed every other day.  I think this made a difference actually

We used pre-seed lubricant.  We have never used any type before.

DH and I both cut out caffeine 2 weeks before Ovulation.  He also stopped drinking alcohol which he did on occasion.

We both upped our vitamin intake.

Instead of water or diet soda for dinner we dran****d green tea.

I depended more on my cervix and CM than the OPK's and I think that's what I needed to do.  Listen to my body.

Thanks sooooo much for all the well wishes!  So excited to share my experience with this board!

O Ps.  if we are facebook friends, we're keeping it on the down low until my first appt!  so nothing on my wall thanks!!!!

It is so fun to see DH so excited!!!! ! Good luck on figuring out how/when to tell everyone. I wanted to tell my Mom in person too but ended up telling her on the phone because I wasn't going to see her for at least a week and no way I could wait that long. It was funny I told her I went to Target to get a book and was upset they were out of stock. I mean who is out of What to expect when you are expecting and she didn't get it at first, lol!!  Wishing you all the best again!!!!
hugs,
Kim

yay! that is great!

I was on the phone with my Mom - wanted her to know first too (well after hubby) so we were talking about the weekend and i told her I was going to try a new cake recipe, she asked why - I told her we had something to celebrate! She didn't get it at first and it took a while to sink in. The next time I am telling her in person no matter what!

SO happy for you and hubby!!!

Karen- I have an idea for how you can tell your parents.  I read this online somewhere.  I LOVED the idea and wanted to use for when I get preg.  But when you guys go out to eat with the family, go and tell the waitress to bring a Highchair to the table and have them say "I was told you would be needing this" and you would suspect everyone else to say No we don't need that.  And then you would say, Actually we do..... then u can tell them the good news.  I thought it was cute..... just an idea!

omg thats sooooooo cute!!! that's a possibility, the inlaws are taking us out for dinner on friday for my b-day.  my hubby's idea was to bring a cake to the restaurant, and when dessert comes out the cake will say "happy birthday mommy"
