Well Amanda,

Im no expert, because Im full of post-op pregnancy questions myself!!  BUT I too lost weight at the beginning.  I lost 15lbs up until I was 17wks along and since have only gained at total of 13lbs and am at 26wks pregnant.  She (the baby) is above average in weight & length! SO  the weightloss had no effect on the babies growth!!

Like I said, no expert....but just my personal expierence!!

CONGRATS!!

I was about 7 months out when I got pregnant and I lost 16 lbs over the first 2months.  then I stablilized for about a month and now I'm holding and dropping the same 5 lbs over and over again.

its ok to lose as long as you eat healthy, eat enough and take your vites.  :)

I was 2 years out (I have the band) when I got pregnant the first time.   I orginally lost around 10 pounds (put that back on plus 20 more).   I'm 13 weeks pregnant now and 4 years out.  I've lost about 10 pounds again.
You may continue to lose the entire pregnancy or at the very least not have much of a gain.  Just remember to take you vitamins and eat as healthy as you can.
Have a happy and healthy nine months!

Lost 17 to start and have only gained 2 back. I have to eat every 2-3 hours and maintain vitamins and everything has been alright. :)

With this pregnancy I lost 4 lbs the first 2 months and then went on to gain steadily.  Just make sure you are eating enough.  I'm 23 weeks pregnant now and haven't gained anything in a few weeks - but the belly is getting bigger.  I'm supposed to gain at least a pound a week with these girls and was told I was on the low side of normal.  But I'm eating like a horse!  LOL!

Good luck!

I got pregnant at 2 1/2 months post op so I have lost a LOT of weight up to this point. I am almost 21 weeks and my weight loss has finally stopped. I now refuse to get on the scale! LOL!! I know it's a good and normal thing for the weight loss to stop I just don't want to know how much I gain. Ignorance is bliss for me! My lil one is measuring 2 days ahead now so it appears the large weight loss did not hinder my baby's growth so far. We had a level II u/s on Friday and they said that baby looks perfect!
