7 months out and just found out I'm prego!
I had Lap RNY on 12-31-08, and I have lost 115 lbs. I just found out I am expecting on April 14th! Me and my hubby are really excited! We were supposed to wait until I was at least a year out, but oops! hehe Are there any special concerns I need to think about? My first OB Appt is Aug 25th. I hope I have a baby bump this time. Last time with my son I was 330 lbs, and I just looked fatter. Thanks for reading this! Amanda

starting weight-333 current weight-216 Ive lost 117 POUNDS!!!
wow, congrats on your pg!! I waited till my year visit to start trying to get pg with #3 and it happened after just one time! So our fertility greatly improves when we lose all this weight, it's great!
My bariatric doctor said to take a prenatal vitamin and 400-800 mcg of folic acid, along with the other vitamins I take already (including my multivitamin, so 2 multi-vits, one regular and one prenatal). He also said I need blood labs drawn every 3-4 months to make sure my vitamin levels are ok, for me and the baby.
Good luck and congrats!! I'm due April 11th!

1) Congrats.
2) Make sure you are getting at least 100g carbs per day. No exceptions.
3) Make an appt. to get a full blood workup -- things like iron, folate, ferritin, 0,25(OH)D, b-12, b-1, etc. A full panel. It's vital.
4) Get your surgeon to write a letter explaing dumping and ask that they recommend a test called the post-paradinal test to test for gestational diabetes.
5) Increase your fluids and take your vitamins.

Congrats!! I got pregnant early last time too....oops!
Do everything Andrea said. Making sure you keep up on everything is key. As long as you aren't still losing you can likely wait until 2nd trimester to add 200-300 calories a day for baby's sake. But keep up on fluids and vitamins and labs.
Good luck and again, CONGRATS!!
