OT: Anniversary Gifts

My wedding anniversary is in a couple of weeks.   I have no idea what to get my husband.   We are going on a mini vaca with the kids to the Columbus zoo at the end of this month and I told him that would be our gift to one another.  

LOL   Yeah right, I'm sneaky and want to surprise him with a little something.   Nothing big or expensive, but just a little something.   I'm going to cook him a nice dinner, but that's nothing out of the ordinary.   

Any ideas?   I don't want it to be kid related, so I'm not doing pictures of the kids, etc.   I want it to be about us since it's our anniversary.  Yeah the kids are all us at this point, but you ladies know what I'm saying.  

I thought about just giving him sex, well because we haven't had sex since before the fertility treatments.   I know I know, I should just do it, but I'm paranoid about it.   LMAO   

Wow, your poor husband.  Sadly, I am not pregnant and still don't give it up often.  Oops. 
How long have you guys be married? 

This will be 3 years.  

How about some super nice and comfortable looking slippers?! 

I could use those right about now.  Heels suck when you have a bruised instep.

I just went through this dilemma in June.  I ended up going and getting a small wallet and money clip...(it has a spot for a few cards and the other side is a clip)...I thought it would be better then sitting on that wallet all the time, and nice for on the go.  He loves it.  Then I had it engraved. 

I saw some really nice business type items too...but my husband isn't working in the business world.  (Mont Blanc Pen, Nice Clock for on the desk, etc).  None of my ideas were really expensive because of our other priorities but they got the message through.  

Oh- I thought sex was just part of the anniversary...you mean it's optional..I've been ripped off for 7 years!   

DH & I do small gifts related to whatever year it was. For example - last year was our 2nd anniversary which was cotton. I bought him a really nice zip hoodie and matching pants, he on the other hand bought me a digital picture frame WRAPPED IN A COTTON T-SHIRT. Men...  (btw, I loved the frame but that was so him!!)

Year 3 is leather.  Maybe I will get myself a leather bra.  Yeah cause that would be so attractive.  NOT!  

How about a leather whip. LOL

What about a really nice leather daytimer? Something practical... Or you can do what Shawn did. Buy something you want and wrap it in leather.

How about a nice leather wallet?  He could get you a nice new purse? 

If all else fails......SEX!  Can't go wrong with that after a nice meal.....burn those cals!

We were married 7 years on July 20th and sadly we got each other nothing.....we got in the kitchen together and cooked dinner for the kids and us.  Said our "I love you's" and went to bed.  We are just worn out these days......not sure why?
