Doh! Attack of Pregnancy Brain

I'm such a space case lately I can't even stand it. It's super-amusing since I'm not typically spacey in the least. I'm surprised that this "pregnancy brain" hasn't spilled over into my driving ability. Seriously, I'm fine on the road...as far as I know!

Here are a few examples of my airheaded-ness over the past few days:

1.) Over the weekend, I was at a gas station and when I got out of my car, I placed my hand on the door frame of the car....while the car door unexpectedly slammed shut on my hand! Luckily, the door made contact with the top of my engagment ring, so the solitare literally prevented my hand from being crushed! Of course, the ring didn't look the same as it did prior as the band was completely distorted...so I dropped it off with the jeweler who made it. They just called and said he was able to reshape it and fasten the loose stones (on the band) with no problems. I'm so relieved and I'm only out $50. Not bad considering I thought I busted the actual diamond and would have to go through the insurance company.

2.) Yesterday I was walking out of my chiropractor's office and noticed something felt funny. Yeah, I left my shoes in his office and I was standing in the hallway in my socks! A\fter my last chiro visit, I got into my car and realized I couldn't see clearly...my glasses were still in the eyeglass holder at his office!

I'm thinking this kid must be a smart one since he's using up all my good sense!

Please tell me I'm not the only space-case here! What did "pregnancy brain" cause you to do?

OH YEAH.  I've been having the same things happen!  I was un-dressing and dressing one day, I took off my tank-top and put my bra on and when I went to put the tank back on I could NOT find it.  I looked EVERYWHERE!!  Finally I just put another shirt on and felt something funny in it.  WELL, the tank top was AROUND MY WASTE UNDER MY BELLY!!!  I could NOT see it at all and thought I was crazy and lost it!  LOL!

I've done that twice now...and both were in the same weekend.  However, almost daily I go into a room and totally forget what the heck I was going in there for.  My memory is poo lately!

Thanks for the laughs...

I hate to tell you this..but even after the baby's born, that sleep deprivation isn't going to help your space case much either!  My friend always says it takes 2 years for your body to get back to normal and 7 years for your brain!

I am not alone, neither are you.

YEP sounds like me EVERYDAY just the last few minutes I got everyone's dinner on the table I went to the table twice without mine!
I am constantly getting up to go and do something and stop in the middle of the room and literally have NO IDEA what I was doing or where I was going!

Pregnancy brain is real and it only gets worse! But I will say yours made me laugh!!

Hugs
Beth
