To Test or Not To Test

I want to wait until more like 14-15DPO (my fertility friend test date is the 18th, and i was thinking more like the 15th) but I can not get over how COOL it would be to get a positive on hubbys b-day...

His b-day will be 11 DPO....

I just dunno what to do... HA I may make him look and not tell me haha!  I dont wanna know really early.

I think if you are willing to spend the money on a possibly wasted test, take one for grins and giggles on his birthday (the most sensitive you can find) BUT with both of you understanding that a negative really doesn't mean much at that point - and as long as a negative wouldn't bum either of you out on his birthday. If you think it would, WAIT!

PS - I have a short luteal phase (11-13d) so I usually wait until 12dpo if I haven't gotten a period. Invariably I seem to start my period that night :P

I'm a compulsive tester.  I start testing 3 or 4 days before my period.  The one time I got a BFP I was actually a week late because we weren't really "trying" that cycle.

I buy tons of tests on eBay so I just use them willy nilly...sometimes twice in the same day.

Oh yeah...as far as I'm concerned it's the only way to buy PG tests and OPKs. 

Just search for "pregnancy test" and you'll get hundreds of options.  Lots of sellers combine the two kinds of tests.  I prefer to buy them separately. 

Last time I got 100 OPKs for $25.00 and 50 PG tests for $10.00 or something like that.  They are the same kind they use in the doc's office so you have to pee in a cup but I've got that down to a science at this point.

At least you can wait! I'm 1 DPO and it's all I can think about. Last month I was pee'ing on more sticks than my dog. BFN's suck!

Cathie it is all I have been able to think about since ohhhh 1DPO too.....
Its like okay did it work.....

I am just worried that 11DPO will be to early...

We talked last night and hes okay with a Negative test, he just doesnt want another MC.

I say test....what the heck. Just do it on the down low and be prepared that it might be too early. I have a short lp and got my 2 bfp on 10 dpo and 11dpo. Just realize that women implant from like 3-10 dpo usually and if you are pg and do implant late then 11dpo might be too early...but if you implant earlier...you could get a cool bday present for hubby.
