That is the Quetion.....

When Did you take your PG test??

When i got pregnant back in May I had no clue i was we werent really trying, and I had been so stressed with the move i didnt realize i was late till i was over a week late and then took the test so I have never been in this position before....

Did you take it before the missed period or after??

If you took it before what DPO did you take it?  Did you get a positive or not??

Here is my perdiciment.  I am currently 5 DPO, my husbands birthday is Monday the 10th (11DPO) I have been on fertility friend looking at some of the pregnancy charts and seeing that a lot of people get a + on day 11.  I am contemplating taking a test then.

I am worried tho that it wil be too early and we will get a BFN either false or real on his birthday and that would totally suck....  But it would be SOOO cool to get a BFP on his birthday

Advice appreciated....

Hi!

I took a test 2 days before my period was suppose to come and got a BFN (I used an FRER test too) then I waited till a day after my perioed was suppose to be there (obviously I didn't start which was not too unusual for me I was a regular 28-30 day cycle) with a dollar store test and got my BFP. I will tell you I didn't chart just kept up with CM but I was having some cramping and mega sore boobs which was not unusual except the cramping which didn't start till after I started my cycle. The morning I got the BFN I was so emotional I kept my husband home an hour later than normal because he was so worried about me. So that in itself was another clue that I was expecting.

Maybe wait till his birthday? Sorry I got so long winded...HTH

Lots of Baby DUst to you!!!!

I get a negative until day before or day AF is due. I would wait to save yourself the stress of testing many times. It is emotional process and don't need to add any added stress/emotions to yourself.

I am sure he wouldn't mind a late birthday present!! I wish you tons of baby dust to get your BFP!

I'm a compulsive tester.  I test too early and too often.  However i can tell you that some test are more sensative than others.  The "early response" test are sensative at 20 IU of HCG.  Most others the postive threshold is 25 or 30 IU of HCG.  While the sensativity of the test is important, so is the time of implantation, which can vary as much as 5  days.

Good luck with whatever you decide, just remember, an early neg is not the same as a neg at the time your MP is due or overdue.

I'm a tester.  I begin testing around 8dpo and have had positives as early as 9 and 10dpo.

the only time I waited was with Jordan and that was because I didn't even realize I was late.

Really best to wait until about 14dpo but if you are determined, wait until at least 10-11 :)

I am 6dpo so we'll prolly be testing around the same time! Good luck!
