Congrats! I haven't had RNY so I can't offer advice on that. Just wanted to say congrats and wish you a happy and healthy nine months!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Sorry for your loss.  Prior to my surgery. My last miscarriage was at 9 weeks prior to my surgery about 9 years ago.  I have PCOS and was told that it would be hard for me to conceive that is why I'm very concerned about this pregnancy now that I've had the surgery. I'll pray that God will bless you eventually with a child.

Take care, Simone.

I had RNY but have not been pregnant yet, but trying.  The doctors all expect a very healthy outcome as long as you are taking your vitamins and supplements regularly and eating right.  I am very happy for you though, keep us all posted on your progress and welcome to the board.

Thanks, I need to go to a specialist but just got the news on Friday so it's all new to me. I hope that you're able to conceive soon. I will keep you all posted.

Take care, SImone.

I have PCOS as well, while it affects your ability to get pregnant it should not have a big impact on your ability to stay pregnant.  Congrats!

Congrats!!!
You will do fine, keep eating healthy and taking your vitamins and supplements, although it's good to switch to a prenatal from a regular multivitamin. Being a post op does not automatically mean you need to see a specialist, unless you are required to do so based on other medical issues.

Congrats to you!!!  I just found out on saturday I am pg with my 3rd child (1st one pre op though)!!  My doctor told me to add a prenatal along with the multivitamin I take (so I do the centrum in the morning and the prenatal at bedtime) in addition to the other stuff I take and to take an extra 400 mcg of folic acid.   He also said to have blood labs drawn every 3-4 months during my pg to make sure my vitamin levels are ok and if anything needs to be adjusted.

Hope you  have a happy and healthy 9 months preggo buddy!

Hit goal weight of 140 at 13 months out from RNY!! 130 pounds GONE!
