Nausea SUCKS!

Just had to vent a little.

Some days are great and some days are filled with nausea.  On the bad days it feels like between my band restriction and nausea I can keep nothing down.

Any food advice?  Tricks?

Thanks Shannon

What size band do you have and how much of a fill do you have? You could talk to your doctor and get something for nausea.

Try to keep something on your stomach as when it is empty is when you will feel the worst. Also, before you get out of bed in the morning keep something there to get a nibble of. I either kept a baggie or cheerios or cheese its and would eat a few very slowly. I normally am so tight in the mornings I can't eat until I have drank some things. So, I had to chew really well.

Additionally, my surgeon recommends, for patients with lots of nausea, to have a slight deflation during the first trimester and then fill it back in the second trimester after morning sickness and nausea has calmed down. I don't know your surgeon's philosophy on fills during pregnancy but you might ask them.

Hang in there.
