Henry is here!

WOW..where do i start...  baby boy #2 was born on July 13th..he is beautiful and healthy..a great sleeper and eater..my 4 year old is a handful which means NO NAPS for mommy but all in all things are great.. i got pregnant last fall one year after my VSG..i had lost over 100lbs..BUT i ate like a pig while pregnant pretty much and gained 40 lbs went over 200;(...15 has come off in the last three weeks since having the baby but i am still eating unhealthy..each day i say "ok this is the day..water and protein and NO SWEETS" and it doesnt happen.. i am hormonal..scared i am a little PPD (I had it the first time but  never took meds)..so everything is GREAT but hard and scary too...and i know i am using treats to cope with the stress..so hard to stop that crutch of yummy food.

i would appreciate prayers i can get on the wagon tomorrow with healthier eating and have more patience with my older son.

Congrats on Henry's arrival.  I'm glad it went well and he seems to be an 'easy' baby. 

I don't know what to say re the weight since I haven't had a successful pg after WLS...but believe that as time goes on - it's only been about two weeks! - more will come off.  Once you're recovered and able...and the weather's cooperating, since I've heard how hot it is in the states right now...you can take Henry and your 4 year old for walks.  That might have a double benefit...excercise for you...and might tire out the 4 year old so you can get a nap? 

Good luck...and hang in there!  If the PPD starts up...talk to your dr.  You wouldn't be the first (or last) woman to experience it.

Congratulations and Welcome tot he world Henry!!

Well since I am still gaining and have two more weeks, my plan once baby is here is just to take things one day at a time! Hopefully that will work for you too!

Congrats Holly, Henry is gorgeous!  Love the pic in the basket!!!  My "baby" is 22 months and I am still having trouble.  I hope you are better than me!

I've been wondering where you have been!  Congrats!!!!  Henry is just precious!  I understand everything you are going through.  I gained 38 lbs, and am not losing it very quickly.  I am starting over again tomorrow with a much needed fill.  My 5 yr old is my handful, thank God that kindergarten starts on the 17th. 
I am having PPD and started meds last week, they seem to already be helping.  I was taking it all out on my older son too, I had to do something because it wasn't fair to him.

Congrats. Henry is a doll. As for your four year old...just try to spend some one on one time with him and remember what it was like when he was the only one and still a baby. You will be fine! Shari
