Seeking Feedback on the Chicco Polly High Chair
I know what you're all thinking "She's such a posting ***** today, my goodness!" Guilty as charged.
I've really been dragging my feel on adding a high chair to our baby registry. It seems I can't find one I truly like. So, I've resigned myself to the fact that I don't have to like the high chair; it just needs to serve a function of containing the child during mealtime.
That being said, after looking at various reviews online, it looks like Chicco's Polly might be "the one." It comes in a bunch of different colors.
I know some parents are really into the Svan or Stokke Tripp Trapp high chairs, but I find them hard on the eyes and just can't past their looks. I know they are chairs that grow with your child and turn into step stools, etc, but I just don't like 'em.
So, any feedback on the Chicco?

A. how easy to clean is it. First chair we had, I had to use needle nose pliers to get the straps back in the seat after washing. They were just a tight fit and my fingertips weren't strong enough. I eventually got used it it but still it was a huge pain.
B. how much room it takes in the dining room. Again with the first chair, we were ALWAYS tripping over it passing through the dining room. The "footprint" of it was just so large.
This time around I went for the one that attaches to a normal chair. The tray is dishwasher safe and it reclined for when Sammy was younger.
I am not alone, neither are you.

When I had the trips I got the top of the line highchairs, hated them. Spent $19 on an adjustable booster seat that goes right on the kitchen chair and loved it. I liked having them at the table for meals with us even when they where tiny, the tray snaps right off and goes in the dishwasher and the pad just pulls right off and goes in the washer. No muss, no fuss, and they are right at eye level, participating in meals instead of off in the highchair, which generally can't get very close or level with the table.

Good luck deciding. Picking the color for your chicco might be tough too, there are so many cute ones!!

Here is what I like: It really looks cute in my kitchen. I love the pattern, it think it is the "hard candy" or something like that.
Here is what I hate: The tray is more difficult to slip on and it feels wobbly. The straps suck, the don't fit on my baby very well and they are not easy to adjust or get on and off quickly. I don't like the middle part that goes between the legs. On the Polly it is attached to the tray, I like it when it is attached to the chair. The try has this little ridge around it and mine has peaches caked it in right now. It is hard to clean that little crack. The tray covers (there are 2) that come with it doesn't help the situation at all. It is supposed to fold up and make for easy storage, but I never fold it, it just feel flimsy to me.
If I were to do it over again, I would go to BRU and really test them out and notice details, like the ease of tray use, stability, strap adjustment, seat configuration and height adaptability. Beat on them a little bit!
I have the Chicco travel system and LOVE IT! So, I don't want to trash the whole Chicco line.
Have fun registering!

I wanted to add a picture when I responded yesterday but my Mac doesn't allow me to copy and paste pictures, or rather OH doesn't. Odd
So, now that I am at work, here you go.
