Well I hope to be having Savannah VERY soon. I am not bfing so I am looking for a strict diet after her birth. I still weigh 250 haven't gained anymore in a few weeks, I am trying to stay here so I estimate 30 pounds in two weeks like with my first bringing me down to 220 then I gotta work hard. My dilemma is that I am in a wedding December 11th. I soooo would like to be at least 190. Any suggestions/advice to get it off FAST. I was thinking I would go back to two shakes a day and 1 hearty meal. What ya'll think? I have great willpower so I think I can do it. I will entertain any suggestions you ladies have for what works/worked for you.

Thanks, Vanessa

I can share what I did after I had Skyler.  I was 160 lbs the day I gave birth.  Was 12 lbs smaller the day they released me from the hospital to come home. So I was at 148 lbs.  My surgeons goal for me is 125 lbs.

So, at 148 lbs I started my back on track journey.  I joined the "back on track together" group here on OH.  It's all abou****er, water, water, and 100g or more a day of protein, and 30 min. a day of exercise.  Well, I skipped the exercise part due to just having Skyler.  I started this on Jan 1st.  By Feb 19th I was at 127-129 lbs.  So it worked really fast.  I just went back to post-op basics.  Water, protein, no drinking with meals, etc.  Your tool is there, just go back to basics and use what they gave you.

Also, I don't drink any carbonation....period, ever!  It's out of the question.  It did a lot of good to lose the weight...right after that I got pregnant again!  I found out I was pregnant the last week of March!

I'm in the 140's right now and I'm half way done baking so I'm very thrilled about that.

I'm 5'4"

See and I know what I have to do, I just need to hear it! Thanks for your reply, can't believe your half way already. It sure does go by fast. I was just crying over so home videos I found on my computer when Ny was born, I can't even remember that too well and it was only 16 months ago...now I'm sad.

Anyways share with me your protein selections when you lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks, that's fantastic!!...like a daily menu B-L-D and snacks if any.

Thanks Ash!!

It's under groups.  Back on Track Together.  If you can't find it look type it in the search box

Along with what Ashley said there is also the 5 day pouch test to get you started when I did it last year I lost 8 pounds in those 5 days! you can just google 5 day pouch test and it will give you what you need to know it just helps get you back to the basics and just prepare yourself of CARB withdrawls that suck and made me VERY *****y!

Can't wait to hear your birth story and see pics of Savannah!

Going back to basics is key!!!   One thing I have learned through training to become an OH support group leader is the amount of protein you need to have daily.  If you are weighing 220 after having the baby you will need 1/2 of the amount you weigh in protein intake plus 10 more.  So your total intake of protein should be 110 grams a day and do what Ashe said. It will get you to your goal asap.

Good luck with everything and wishing you an uneventul delivery.
