Cloth Diaper recommendations

I know I've seen some comments on this topic before but the search engine does me no good.  So here goes...

While I opted for disposables (mostly because my washing machine is standing on it's last leg), my cousin is venturing forth into the brave world of cloth diapers.  For her shower I'd like to provide a few samples and maybe some tips/hints from folks with real experience.  Anyting you can share..brands, dos/don't, cool associated products, what you love and hate about it, etc.....your complete honesty would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I am not alone, neither are you.

I don't know much on the topic but my friend is using Bum Genius 3.0.  She just had her baby weeks ago so no idea how it's going...but they are adjustable so that you can use the same one for years...they grow with the baby.

Good luck!

There's tons of info online re: cloth diapering. Here are some sites that many people use as reference and to buy/try things out:

With the trips I did prefolds and covers, but with this little guy we decided to give G-diapers a try, as they have both a biodegradable flush away insert AND cloth inserts. The G-diapers have a "trial" pack that is not to pricey, and they are super cute.

Well, we haven't tried them yet since my little guy isn't due for another five weeks, but they look pretty easy to manage as compared to pre-folds. They have a six pack for $70, but there are coupon codes everywhere for $30 off that. The resale value on them is really good too, so if you invest in them you can probably make most of your money back if you hate them.

Good luck!
