Pregnancy after Plasitcs

HI all!

I'm brand new to this board. My name is DeWitney and I usually frequent the Oklahoma board but I thought this might be the best place to ask this question. I'm the single mother of a 4 year old son, I underwent my RNY in March of this year, I visited my surgeon yesterday and we discussed starting the process to get my PS approved by my insurance provider. I'll be using the same surgeon for my PS that I did for my RNY, he does both all the time, and what he's going to do is a TT and lower body lift. I really want to have this done before the end of the year because my deductible and out of pocket max have been met with my RNY earlier in the year so the surgery if approved would be 100% covered. My only hesitation is that my BF and I are planning on getting married in 2010, and he really wants to have children after that....as I said before I have a son, and while I have always said I was done having babies...some part of me has always wanted to have another one if the timing was ever right. SO... how many of you have gotten pregnant after plastics? And did you regret having plastics before hand? Do you feel like you need another TT after the baby? ANY advice or comments would be greatly appreciated!

I had TT 5 years ago and baby last year. I dont regret either :)
My stomach is still pretty flat, it is the least of my body issues, hehe.
It was unconfortable towards the end of pregnancy and I wasnt as cute as many preggo moms, more tubular than with a big basketball belly.
No matter what, the panni is gone. That is why I had my TT. Now i am just like a normal person who had a baby and still has an extra 10 lbs to lose :)

Ditto!

I have had several different optional procedures done,..........all prior to having WLS. I had the surgeries done, then gained another 60 pounds. Even though i had gained 60 pounds my stomach was still very flat and hard. Had WLS and lost 103 pounds and now 9 months pregnant. I do not regret anything at all, would do it all the way i did all over again.  I have stayed very small in my tummy for being 9 months pregnant, looks as if i am maybe 5 months pregnant. My stomach is very hard , tight ......do i think it will stay that way after baby? Dont know, i may need a little suckage done after her arrival. I dont regret a thing!  My baby girl is also measurring very large, so no worries there.

Do what you think will work for you.

Get it done now while you can! :-) I had a tummy tuck with muscle tightening and hernia repair in 2003.  I then had a baby in 2006 and I went back flat the MOMENT he popped out.  With my second, it took about 3 weeks for my tummy to go down all the way and the skin isn't as super tight like it was, but I don't have a fat roll and it is still flat.  After the kids I had some more done (see my signature), and I am so glad that I used who I did. I had a surgeon in Texas and then in Arizona.  Good luck to you with your plastics and the baby! :-)

I have to agree with all the posts..I had a TT after my 3rd baby and my RNY..I had allot of loose skin.I felt like a freak..My clothes looked bad etc.. so anyway my 4th baby was a "surprise" I didn't intend to have any more.. I was very uncomfortable during my pregnancy.I wont lie... I never looked pregnant.I was a sponge bob shape lol.. never had a tummy. My tummy was flat right after I had my baby..I had a c-section..and its flat again..I do have some loose skin..but I am sure my tummy looks better than most "regular" mommies after having a baby..so do it..enjoy the new body your RNY gave you and when that loose skin is gone.. it will make the baby making process way more fun lol.
best of luck!
