Ab ultrasound tomorrow AM
Well, for about 3 weeks I have been having some mid belly, left side paid...seems to hurt a little more when I need to poop...it would come and go.
I had called my OB about it and the nurse asked the dr and he said to call PCP since it was higher than my uterus area. So I ruled it out that it was just some adhesions or something streching....
Well 3 weeks later it is still there and very uncomfortable at time, to the point where I "hold it in"....and when I picked up a 12 pack of soda the other day if felt like my guts could fall out....so I go to the PCP today (my regular doc was out) and I had to see some yahoo intern and then the dr....they are not sure and feel it should lie with the OB since I am 14 weeks pregnant, etc.
He doesn't feel it is a bowel obstruction since I have good bowel sounds, and it is who knows what will happen b/c I am pregnant they can't operate and if it is an adhesion...who knows there either...everything is all up in the air.
So the only thing he could figure to do was a abdominal ultrasound to see what they can see...although he said that at times the adhesions do not show up on ultrasound....
Grrr....it is not bad enough being sick for all 14 weeks, losing 10 pounds, feeling like **** all the time and now this....
Any thoughts, prayers, suggestions are more than welcome.....thanks!!!!

I don't have any suggestions either...but I hope you feel better soon and they can figure out what it is. I was in pain for a lot of my pregnancy because of my gallbladder, they would not remove it while I was pregnant. (Sometimes they will, but my Dr's wouldn't) It started in my first trimester...I had it removed finally when Aethyn was 3 months old.
Hope your pregnancy gets easier from here on out!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a lot of chronic unexplained abdominal pain in the late 1st-2nd trimester. MRI revealed pooled fluid in 2 places. Rather benign in nature, but too close to the uterus and too risky to drain. I also had a hernia. Gallbladder and kidney stone issues were one of the first things they ruled out with ultrasounds.
I hope you find answers, and that it is something easily treatable. OR that it's nothing at all and the pain just subsides naturally right away.
Keep us posted!
Hugs,

Thanks everyone! I had the ultrasound this morning, but of course the tech couldn't really tell me anything.
At least I am (Drs are) able to rule anything doing with the appendix or gallbladder out since my surgeon took those out when I had my DS! Smart doc!
The pain is still there...so here is to hoping we can figure something out by Monday....I will ahve to call into the dr and get the results....
