With my older boys, I didn't have anything specific.

Riley, she had one of those FP activity tables. She loved it. She would pull up and stand at it and play and laugh. Other than that, I can't think of anything.

Hers is like this one...............

We also have one of the activity tables, it is leap frog, they both would pull up on that, the coffee table, the couch, and each other!!  We also have a regular wak-behind push walker, they used that once they got better at pulling up, be careful though, they roll right out from underneath them.

I never bought Savannah or Skyler any of those, or the walking toys either.  You are right, they are just not that sturdy.  They just would stand up at the coffee table and play with toys and walk around it.  That's how they both started walking too, was by going around and around the coffee table.
