What does this mean??
It's a High Risk diagnosis code. In order to bill for you seeing a high risk OB, certain codes must be used.
For example........If a patient had pre-eclampsia in a previous pregnancy but has not demonstrated it in the current pregnancy, a code V23.4 would be used.

No problemo! I hate billing and coding, but with me being the only one that works with the one Doc, I have to deal with it. I room patients, answer phones, fill scripts, schedule, and bill.......lol....so I just looked it up in the ICD-9.

Hijack...so oh wise one,,,question
Is there a difference in coding that would possibly allow for the insurance to pay for theHysterosalpingogram ....i.e. coding as treatment versus diagnosis....since I have the PCOS...when the fertility doc did it last time it was not covered even though it was to diagnosis bloackage issues...guess because it was a fertiltiy doc and TTC they picked up on that...but wondering if my regular ob/gyn does it...more as a treatment for the pcos and all the cysts I currently have if they would cover it...make sense...I also took courses in billing but not my cup of te!
