LOL, we did that with the portable ones at Target but hubby thought I was nuts to suggest he could bring down one of the big ones from the display shelf.  We will be near a babies r us's this next week.  I might just do that!
Thanks,
Chrissy

I fianlly just put the swing in the basement. I tried Jantzen in it several times. He's just not into it. He loves the tummy time mat, and his bouncy seat that vibrates and has visuals.

Zach just might be the same. I would be leary of buying one if he doesn't seem interested in the travel or larger one.

If he loves that bouncy chair.......stick with that!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Thanks!  Our first son never did like the swing, guess Zach might be the same way.  I need to get the tummy time mat out of the basement, although Target has a really cool new one.  It was pricey but very cool.  Might just splurge on that instead of the swing.

Matthew in just the past month or so has started tolerating the swing better for maybe 10-20 mins at a time.  But when he was smaller he hated it.  I kept putting him in it a minute ot two at a time.  I went out and spent over 100.00 on the FP papsan swing and it wasn't worth it.  He still didn't like it.  Your lo might like it as he gets alittle older but I would not go out and buy a different one.  Now he loves the jumperoo, exersaucer and the bouncers.

It is so weird that some kids like swings and some don't.  Those Jumperoo's look really cool and seem like they take up less room than the exersaucers.  What didn't you like about the FP papsan swing?  That is the one that I have been looking at.
Thanks,
Chrissy

I didn't like that you had to take the tray completely off to put your LO in or get them out.  And for me it was hard to snap back on.  I felt like I was going to tear the swing up snapping it on and off.  I wish  it could have just unsnapped  on 1 side and swung it up to the side.  Also there isn't alot that your LO can look at when they look up....just a mirror and the little bears/rabbits and leaves go up and down.  Matthew like the one my mom has..it lights up underneath...so when he is looking up he is seeing lights and all kinds of movement.
