Poor Niko
Yeah-it's just part of it. Dave did an 18 monther when Alex was nine--didn't get bac****il he was 11. That one was rough. The rest of his unit just got back from a year in Iraq--he stayed home because of my heart surgery and because he was the only one they trusted to take care of rear detachment. The next long one is scheduled when Niko and the newest will be four and three. That's gonna REALLY suck.
I think I'll have Alex commute to college that first year.
I'm so proud of my soldier though and other wise love it.

Awww, I don't know how I would handle that either. Too young to find comfort in words or understanding in time, yet old enough to know the difference....UGH, so sorry! You said that you're a tech person, like I am, right? Do you have a webcam with your new laptop? Does Dave have one with him @ training? I'm sure you get where I'm going with this, but I'm also sure you've probably already thought of that and if it was possible, it would be done. Maybe a nice, fun activity like stacking/knocking blocks, music/dancing, etc? Something to keep him busy? Didn't read the pp's so if this is redundant, just ignore it
Hang in there, Angie!
Hugs,
