Could this be???

Liz is correct - of my four mc's...two of them I was on antibiotics for. 

I was taking Bactrim w/the first one because I had a parasite - gotta love Indonesia!

In the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book, it says if you are having a problem w/not enough EWCM, among other suggestions, one suggestion is to take amoxicillin because it increases the EWCM.  I'm allergic to penicillin so don't take amoxicillin either...but the bactrim worked for me the first time...and the third time I was taking a different antibiotic (can't remember which one) for a throat/ear infection.

Definitely make sure she talks to her dr...but not ALL antibiotics are harmful.

I want to say that I am sorry for your m/c's. I have had 5 myself.

I am going to tell my sister to go get that book.I have read it and think its great and very helpful.
If you dont mind me asking were you on the pill as well when you were on the antibiotic when you got pregnant?

No, I wasn't on the pill...we'd actually finally gotten the clearances from the WLS a year and a half before, then from the surgery where I had a kidney removed, to go ahead and start...and got pg on the first month out. 

Definitely tell your sister to get the book.  I learned things in that book that they didn't teach in high school.

Hi.  Can't help with the TTC question but just a head's up.  I know everyone's different but I had to go on Bactrim last year for a bladder infection.  On the 7th day I started having a reaction/ ra****chy.  Stupid me thought if it was a drug reaction it would've happened sooner.  That night I ran fever & itched like crazy.  I asked mom to take me to dr.  When the dr saw the bad welps/hives on my thighs & the rash everywhere else he knew it was the Bactrim.  SO if she starts having any symptoms like that, she'll need the meds changed. 

oh for sure she has been on it for three days and still nothing so i pray that she is ok.They only put her on it for 7 days twice daily.
