Could this be???
I hope you all do not think im a complete idiot but i have a serious question.I am actually asking for my sister as she does not have a computer hooked up in her new place yet.She has also had WLS 2 years ago and is TTC.She is on a antibiotic called Bactrim she said and she is ovulating, she is worried its going to less in her chances of getting a BFP.Does anyone know anything about this? I appreciate any info as she is really worried about this.

She said that her doctor is well aware she is TTC and he said that the bactrim would not cause any defects if she got pregnant. I wish she could get on and do this.We are 2600 miles away from one another and im trying to help my sister.

If her doc says its okay...then I guess she should trust him/her...I would just be concerned about ttc purposefully while on antibiotics. I DO know that antibiotics make the bcp less effective, as they always recommend you use a different form of bc while you are using the antibiotics. I guess I'm not sure why she is asking this question if she has already discussed it with her personal physician? As far as antibiotics making her more fertile...I have never heard of that, but honestly can say I have no clue.
I think Holly said that a few of the times she got pregnant was on an antibiotic. (One of them might have even been with her son!) DOn't quote me on that though. As often as I DON'T reccomend this - google it and see what comes up. Also have her call her OB and/or the pharmacist and ask.
Hope that this helps!
