Want stories of infertility "cured" by WLS!
I just posted this to a similiar post, so I'm copying/pasting.
Good luck in your TTC journey... WLS was DEFINITELY my answer!!! *hugs*
I was overweight my entire life. At my heaviest, I was 373 and day of surgery was 334. I lost downto 184 (after becoming pregnant) was around 196 or so when I got pregnant.
We ttc for 5 years prior (did fertility drugs, went to RE, etc) with no success. I also had PCOS and irregular periods. My RE recommended WLS and I was against it for so long. I finally saw "the light" and went for it. I will NEVER regret it.
I started ttc about 1 year after surgery. They recommend 12-18 months or when you get to a stable weight. i got pregnant about 14 months after surgery and am currently 36 weeks pregnant with a little boy. I truly believe I would not have gotten pregnant without WLS. I have had NO complications with the pregnancy with the exception of my Rheumatoid Arthritis (I had to go off my RA meds due to being pregnant).
I've had NO bp issues and no vitamin issues. baby boy is already over 5 pounds and I still have appx 4 weeks to go. My OB is well aware of my WLS and monitors my levels accordingly.
I've also only gained 25 pounds so far--great according to the OB.
I wish you much luck in your TTC journey. Be sure to come back once you get that much wanted BFP!

It's a BOY!
Thank you all for the support and encouraging stories! Keep 'em coming!
Not only are they so nice to hear, but I plan to print them out and give them to my MIL. She heard from a friend of a friend of a friend (you know how that goes!), that if I have WLS I'll never be able to get pregnant again, so now she's freaking out. Despite the fact my FERTILITY Dr. suggested this surgery, and then my surgeon (who happens to be researching preg. after WLS) was also very optimistic that it will improve my fertility, she thinks it's a mistake for me to have WLS.
I love her to death, but she's a VERY fearful person and nothing I can say will convince her. I am very confident in the decision I've made (I have other health issues in addition to infertility that made me choose WLS) and DH is very supportive, and we both know how his mom can be. But it'll be nice to have something to shove at her and hopefully if not convince her, at least shut her up!
Thanks again everyone!

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 years ago. Hubby and I never tried to get preggers pre-op. I do know that we got pregnant with our angel the first month we tried. I am hoping it's that fast this time. We want a baby bad.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
