Rough Week/Weekend!!!

Well to start I went to see my PCP on Thursday and that was only cause my hubby BF forced me to go... I had been having some pain on my right buttock..LOL.. I know it might sound funny and it was funny to me for a while, I was so embarrasedto tell my PCP, OBGYN and BF
"HEY MY RIGHT BUTTOCKS HURT", so I kept it to myself for about 4 weeks... until Wed. night
BF and I were laying on the bed and as soon as I went to get up the pain hit me 100x worst this time and I was screaming and my BF was like whats going on???? So I finally broke down and told him that my right buttock had been hurting for weeks... and he said hmmmm and wondered what could it be, well after staying in one position for about 5 min I decide to walk and I lost all feeling on my right leg and that scared me, so my BF grabbed me and sat me down and good thing he was right behind me.
Well I went to see PCP the next morning and he says its something called Sciatica, he hopes it goes away after I give birth, he said most likely its the babies pressing on the Sciatic Nerve, he just wants me to be extra careful if im out and about...my leg has given out on me twice today and thank God I was home....scarry!

On another note the news just keep getting better and better
For the pass 3 days I had this awful pain on the roof of my mouth...I just figured cause of WLS and low Calcium it was just another tooth....but this pain turned into a litle ball on the roof of my mouth and day by day it got bigger and bigger and painfulllllllllllllllll!!!
So yesterday my BF took me to the ER and come to find out I had developed an abscess and SORRY for the 411 (like I havent given y'all enough) it was full of pus....th3y had to numb it and poke a hole into it and drain it...it was painful as heck!
They did a quick check up on the twins and after everything looked ok I was sent home
with antibiotic (Amoxicillin).... So I have been feeling like HECK and I cant wait to give birth b/c It's driving me crazy... I should be enjoying this and I have dont get me wrong but Im just so tired and Im not even going to start on my DEPRESSION moment I had in the kitchen..lol.

Anyways I hope y'all are having better days than mines
and I hope for those who are about to give birth a safe and happy DELIVERY!

I feel your pain.  The sciatic nerve with my second son was the worse.  I would be walking down the hall, pick my foot up and literally couldn't put it back down.  I can't tell you how often I got stuck holding the wall waiting for it to go away.  Fortunately the baby usually moves after a few seconds or minutes to relieve the pressure off of the nerve, but in your case with two in there it may be that it won't get much better until delivery since the real estate is more crowded so to speak.  If you can walk close to walls, have help when you shower and limit time alone in public.  Also laying down on the opposite side that is hurting helps, it lets gravity move the babies over a little so that there isn't as much pressure on the nerve.

Im sorry that you had to go through it also, but Im glad Im not the only going or that has gone through it.  The pain is bad I had never heard of it before...so I will be glad when I deliver..lol

Ouch ouch ouch on all accounts.

Man...the babies are getting on your nerves - literally - before they're even here!  Nothing like getting a head start!

The abcess sounds painful...never had one...but have a vivid imagination from your description...I'm cringing in sympathy for you.

Hope things get better...and please be careful while your leg's acting up.

Wow - what a series of crappy events!  I've heard that sciatica pain is really bad, but some of the alternative treatments can yield good results (massage, acupuncture, chiropractor).  No personal experience here, so be sure that if you do seek these treatments, you find someone that has experience with pregnant women and comes recommended (maybe your PCP can help?).  I think these rough pregnancies are God's way of making us feel HAPPY when we finally have the baby and don't get more than 2 hours of sleep/night LOL

Hang in there...it feels like forever right now, but after your babies are born, you'll be amazed how quickly the pregnancy went.

Hugs,

Sciatica SUCKS!!!! It does go away after the pregnancy, but may return later. And OMG--if I had that on the roof of my mouth I would FREAK.  Please, please, take it easy. You're probably gonna get a yeast infection from the antibiotics...have your doc give you a script or tell you which kind of anti-fungal is safe. Try wearing a  shoe with a little lift in the back(not a high one) That helps my mom with her sciatic pain.

Big Hugs for you and your babies,
Angie
